Pakistan Observes Defence and Martyrs Day to Honour Fallen Soldiers

On Sunday, Pakistan will be commemorating Defence and Martyrs Day to honor those soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty for the country and to honor those who served in the past.

Indian troops were seen to cross the international border and attack the Pakistani territory on this day every year on September 6th. According to the official account of the day, Pak army in company with civilians fought back and defended the nation of Pakistan.

The celebrations kicked off in Islamabad with a 31 gun salute and 21 gun salutes were fired in the provincial capitals during the day.
