Star of “Reacher” Alan Ritchson and his wife Catherine Ritchson have revealed that they are splitting up after 20 years of marriage.
On 13 September, the pair released a joint statement on Instagram, announcing that they have mutually agreed to pursue their personal growth separately while still working towards the well-being of their three sons Calem, Edan and Amory. They have said they still love and respect each other and that the public should respect their family during this changing process.
The actor, 43, and financial analyst, 42, first met in a ballet class in Florida when they were teens. They later reacquainted themselves when Catherine was at college, and became engaged in 2005 and they were married in 2006.
The separation announcement comes in the wake of an earlier change in the couple’s relationship. Legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail reportedly show that Ritchson filed for divorce on December 1, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. In September, the couple announced their separation publicly, which they later got back together on March 4, 2026.
The couple stated that they wish to “help each other grow and work on themselves” and “focus on the kids and just live their lives quietly.
Alan Ritchson is perhaps best known for his role as Jack Reacher on Amazon Prime Video’s series “Reacher.” He’s also seen in movies like “Fast X” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
